Achelis, Thomas (1850—1909)

Achelis was a German ethnologist, an editor of Archiv für Religionswissenschaft. He wrote biographies of several German rationalists, held a high position in his science in Germany, and although called a Protestant wrote Adolf Bastian (1892), in which he entirely agrees with Bastian, an eminent and thorough rationalist and agnostic.
