R. B. Braithwaite

Richard Bevan Braithwaite (15 January 1900 - 21 April 1990)
Braithwaite, who was born in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, was educated at the University of Cambridge, where he studied physics and mathematics. From 1934 to 1953 he was elected g Lecturer in Moral Science, and also at Cambridge from 1953 to 1967 he was the Knightbridge Professor of Moral Philosophy.
In 1957 he was elected a Fellow of the British Academy.
His three main books:
- Scientific Explanation (1953)
- Theory of Games as a Tool for the Moral Philosopher (1955)
- An Empiricist's View of the Nature of Religious Belief (1955)
Braithwaite died at the age of 90 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.
