Acollas, Pierre Antoine Rene Paul Emile (1826—1891)
Acollas was a French juris-consult and political writer. Annie Besant translated his monograph, Les Droits de l’Homme (The Idea of God in the Revolution).
In 1871 the Communal Government at Paris made him Dean of the Faculty of Law, but he declined. Later, he was appointed Inspector-General of Prisons and was admitted to the Legion of Honour.
