Patricia (Patsy) Bruder Debrovner (day/month/year)
Bruder retired in 1995 as a professional actor, having appeared on Broadway as Marjorie May in Gypsy, which starred Ethel Merman and Jack Klugman and played on Broadway in 1959 -1961. Also she played the role in 1951 of Elspeth McNairn in Lace on Her Petticoat. She has appeared in various other dramas.
In 1959, she married Charles H. Debrovner. Both are members of the New York Society for Ethical Culture, where they have been directors of the board.
Debrovner is a graduate of The Humanist Institute and currently is an Assistant Leader for Adjunct Services at the NY Society and a Humanist Celebrant.
The Debrovners, who have two daughters and two granddaughters, live in New York City.
On 12 May 2007, Mrs. Debrovner led a commitment ceremony at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, New York, for Ms. Carolyn Wolpert and Ms. Michele Molfetta. The two had met at the Office of the Corporation Counsel in Manhattan, where Ms. Molfetta was a senior counsel in the labor and employment law division. Ms. Wolpert was the deputy chief of the pensions division. Their ceremony was reported with photos in The New York Times (13 May 2007).
