Maxwell Anderson
From Philosopedia
Anderson, Maxwell (15 December 1888 - 28 February 1959)
Asked about humanism, Anderson, the journalist and dramatist who wrote Winterset replied to Warren Allen Smith:
- I don’t know what I think about humanism, and I doubt that what I think is important.
He had, however, once written,
- The gods of men are sillier than their kings and queens, and emptier and more powerless.
