M. A. Babe
From Philosopedia
Babe, M. A. (20th Century)
Babe, a member of the Indian Parliament, spoke in 1995 at the Indian Rationalist Association’s conference in Bombay. He said he was happy to be associated with that group’s campaign for freedom of speech, adding there should be the right to expose fraud and superstition but not to impose ideas on others.
Babe had reservations about provocative attacks on religion, but he endorsed the need to counter an intolerable growth of intolerance.
