Lois Ashway Walker

Lois Ashway Walker (Died 6 November 2008)

Walker was raised in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and received her journalism degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

She wrote for the Philadelphia Inquirer and other publications before moving to San jose, California, where she held the position of director of public relations for General Electric’s nuclear division. In 1976, she relocated her family to Washington State, where she farmed Christmas trees and worked in real estate until her retirement in 1998.

In Shelton, Washington, at the age of 80, Walker died. She had been a longtime member of the American Humanist Association.
