Library of Living Philosophers

Beginning 1939, Open Court started with a volume on John Dewey, one in which philosophers presented their views in an intellectual biography, followed by a number of essays by distinguished scholars who critiqued the philosopher's ideas, ending with the subject's replying to each critic.

Following are the philosophers who, up to 2007, have been included. Blue-underlining refers to clickable entries in PHILOSOPEDIA. The Roman numerals refer to volume numbers.
