Gallagher, Liam (21 September 1972 - )

A falsetto and lead singer of Oasis, a British band, William John Paul "Liam" Gallagher emulates John Lennon and shares some of his iconoclastic views about religion. “We are bigger than Jesus,” he said of Oasis. “Oasis is bigger than God,” said his brother Noel, also in the band. As reported by Paul Lester’s Oasis: The Illustrated Story, Gallagher believes:

  • I live for now, not for what happens after I die. If I die and there’s something afterwards, I’m going to hell, not heaven. I mean, the devil’s got all the good gear. What’s God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that.
