Hannah Adams

Adams, Hannah (2 October 1755 - 15 December 1831)

A View of Religions (1784) by Adams has been called the first objective analysis of world religions. She is the first American known to have supported herself through writing. A Unitarian, she provided the basis for later scholarship in the study of comparative religion.
