George Rudolph Gebauer

George Rudolph Gebauer (17 March 1857 - 1930)

Gebauer was born in Schmardt, Germany. After graduating from the Gymnasium in Brieg and serving in the army for one year, he emigrated to Philadelphia where an uncle was a Reformed pastor.

Before entering the Harvard Divinity School, he was in business in the West. He served churches in Cincinnati, Ohio; Alton, Illinois; Duluth, Minnesota; Keokuk, Iowa; and Pittsburg (Northside), Pennsylvania.
