Ernie Conrad

Ernie Conrad (31 July 1931 - 20 November 2005)
Conrad, an American Humanist Association (AHA) life member and longtime Humanist Association of the greater Sacramento Area (HAGSA) member, was born in San Francisco, California.
He served in the Korean War as a combat medic and graduated from the University of Utah. He was a high school teacher for 40 years, worked as a park ranger and lecturer, participated in an excavation project in Virginia, wrote articles debunking creationism for the Creation/Evolution journal, and co-authored a college textbook on anthropology.
His obituary in the Sacramento Bee described him as “a scholar and very funny man who will be missed.”
