Tabash, Edward {Eddie] (20 December 1950 - )

Tabash is the son of Abraham Tabash, formerly Avrum Tabachnik, an orthodox rabbi from Lithuania, and Aranka Tabash, formerly Aranka Drexler, an Auschwitz survivor from Hungary.

He graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1973 with a B.A. in political science, and he graduated in 1976 with a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles;

Tabash is a constitutional lawyer in Beverly Hills, California. He has filed briefs in support of church/state separation with the California and United States Supreme Courts. He also currently chairs the national legal committee of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Council for Secular Humanism and its parent organization, the Center for Inquiry].

He also represents the atheist position in formal debates against religious philosophers.

He has debated such prominent theistic philosophers as William Lane Craig, R. Douglas Geivett, Richard Swinburne, and Peter Van Inwaagen. He has also served as a part time judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts.
