Wilson, Edwin H. The Genesis of a Humanist Manifesto (Amherst, New York: Humanist Press, 1995). Wilson, an editor and signer of Humanist Manifesto I, was one of the founders of the American Humanist Association as well as the International Humanist and Ethical Union. He was the first editor of The Humanist. Finished when he was in his 90s, the book gives candid views of the personalities of those who worked with him, particularly Raymond Bragg, on the first humanist manifesto. He also tells of those who did not sign, and why.
