Deo Ssekitooleko

Ssekitooleko, Deogratias (6 June 1970 -)

Ssekitooleko founded the Uganda Humanist Association and in 2009 was the representative of the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) in East Africa.

Also, he is the Executive Director of the Humanist Academy, a new secondary school which apart from academics emphasizes rational/critical thinking, humanism, and community concern issues.

He prizes advice that Albert Schweitzer has given: "You must give some time to your fellow men [humans]. Even if it is a little thing, do some thing for others - some thing for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it."

Deo is married to Elizabeth Namaweijje, and they have three children: Sylvia (21 August 1999 - ); Diana (5 February 2005 - ); and Julius (7 December 2006 - ).
