David Cross
From Philosopedia
Cross, David (4 April 1964 - )
A comedian, Cross on the televised “Politically Incorrect” said,
- I was born Jewish, but I am an atheist. I don’t believe in God.
In January 1999 he told viewers on his website,
- Again, thanks for watching and although there is no God, have an enjoyable holiday gift time. Yours in Christ, David.
Cross briefly attended Emerson College in Massachusetts but dropped out to start his stand-up career. His television career started on The Ben Stiller Show, and he has a reputation for blending left-wing political commentary with crude "lowbrow" humor.
In 2005, as an actor in a Fox television comedy, Arrested Development, he went naked, accompanied by a cut line, "Wear your own fur. Let the animals keep theirs."

Quotations
- "I don't think Osama bin Laden sent those planes to attack us because he hated our freedom. I think he did it because of our support for Israel, our ties with the Saudi family and our military bases in Saudi Arabia. You know why I think that? Because that's what he fucking said! Are we a nation of 6-year-olds? Answer, yes."
- (On the strong political nature of his stand-up act): "I've always been a bit of a news junkie, but not as much as I am now. Hopefully that will change in a matter of months and I can go back to making more abortion jokes."
- (on Staind, P.O.D., Creed et al) "I would rather hear the death rattle of my only child than listen to that fucking shit."
- "I believe women are smarter than men, I do. But I also believe dogs are smarter than women."
