Humanist Anniversaries To Celebrate.


March 2010 - The Humanist Society of Metropolitan New York Meetings

The current Chapter President is Dr. Thomas Riggins. There is a four-member Executive Board consisting of Dave Buehrens, Dorothy Klein, Beth Lamont, and Lila Smith. The previous Chapter President was Dr. Julius Manson.

The group meets approximately twice per month — generally on the evening of the second and fourth Tuesdays, usually with a speaker followed by a discussion.

June 15, 2010 - The 2010 Annual Meeting of the BRS - Bay Area Bertrand Russell Set (BARS)

June 18, 2010 - "God and Politics" in Copenhagen, Denmark

An international atheist conference will bring activists from around the world to Denmark from June 18 to 20, 2010, to explore the intersection between religion and politics.

Speakers at "Gods and Politics" will include: Taslima Nasrin, Roy W. Brown, Anthony C. Grayling, Richard Wiseman, Victor Stenger, P.Z. Myers, and Rebecca Goldstein. The conference, which is hosted by the Danish Atheist Society and Atheist Alliance International, will be held at the Double Diamond Hotel in Copenhagen.
