Clara A. Carlson (22 September 1906 - 10 January 2009)

Carlson, the daughter of Alonzo Bell and Minnie Kate (McElroy) Henderson, was born in Oakland, California. Shortly before becoming a registered nurse, she married Ralph E. Carlson in San Francisco on 18 August 1927.

The Carlsons moved to Port Angeles, Washington, in 1971.

She was a member of Monday Musicale, League of Women Voters, Freedom From Religion Foundation, American Humanist Association, the Story People, Veterans for Peace, and was a charter member of the National Organization for Women.

Mr. Carlson died at the age of 101 in 2004.

Mrs. Carlson, who requested no funeral service, was cremated.
