Chidi Gideon Osuagwu (26 February 1947 - )

Dr. Osuagwu, a guest lecturer in the philosophy department at the University of South Africa, was born in Umanachi, Obowo L.G.A., Imo State, Nigeria. He attended St. Marks School, Ununachi, Obowo, after which he received his West African School Certificate in 1971 at Boys Anglican Grammar School, Uboma, Etiti.

In 1975 he received his B. Sc from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania, receiving his M. Sc. in 1978 at Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. In 1993 he received his Ph. D. in biochemistry at the University of Port-Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, Nigeria.

In a March 2006 programme at the University of South Africa, he spoke on the following subjects: "Cybercosmos: African Archetype and Network Universe"; "Polyhedral Charge-packing and Blood pH Stability"; "Quantum World, Incomes Order and Africa’s AIDS Burden"; and "Vision, Will and Science in Africa’s Development."
