Beadnell, Louise Myfanwy (1907—1988)

“Miffy” Beadnell, who was born in Scotland, had as role models her geologist father and a rationalist, surgeon uncle. She was a founding member and secretary of the Humanist Society of Victoria in Australia, and she was editor of the Victorian Humanist.

Once asked her belief, Beadnell replied that it consisted of just nine words: “I do not believe that there is a god.”
