Basil Fadipe

Basil Fadipe (6 April 1963 - )
Fadipe, a Nigerian physician who went to Dominica in 1992, built a state-of-the-art EC$2.0-million hospital in Mero, approximately 13 miles from the capital, Roseau. His Justin Fadipe Hospital is named after his father.
The author of a work of poetry, Random Thoughts, Dr. Fadipe worked with Warren Allen Smith, head of the New York City Bertrand Russell Society, to set up a Bertrand Russell Society of Dominica with a library of Lord Russell's books in the hospital.
Dr. Fadipe, who is interested in philosophy and religion, has written unpublished materials about his freethinking views.
