Jolie, Angelina (4 June 1975 - )
Angelina Jolie Voigt is the daughter of Marcheline Bertrand and actor Jon Voight. After majoring in film at New York University, she trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, and shortened her name.
She has been seen Pushing Tin, The Bone Collector, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
During a Web edition of The Onion A.V. Club entitled “Is There A God?”, celebrities were asked to respond. Jolie responded:
- Hmm . . . for some people, I hope so, for them. For the people who believe in it, I hope so. There doesn’t need to be a God for me. There’s something in people that’s spiritual, that’s godlike. I don’t feel like doing things just because people say things, but I also don’t really know of it’s better to just not believe in anything, either.
