Anatole Lubovich

Anatole Lubovich (9 March 1937 - 16 November 2005)
An American Humanist Association (AHA) member since 2003 and board member of the Humanist Association of the greater Sacramento Area (HAgSA), died following heart surgery at the age of 68.
Born in Ukraine, he and his family were interned in a prison camp during World War II. After immigrating to the United States in 1950 he studied languages and earned a degree in musical theater from San Francisco State.
Anatole worked as an engineer and teacher but is best remembered as an award-winning poet who was active in his local poetry community and published in many anthologies and journals.
Lubovich was survived by Do Gentry, his significant other, of Sacramento, California.
